Park Place Singles is an organization formed from the personal philosophy that charity begins at home - in the hearts and minds of every individual. We believe that when you give freely of your time and resources to those who are less fortunate, you get back so much more! Columbus Singles are an untapped resource in the volunteer community. Our members feel that you have an opportunity to see what someone is 'made of' when you are able to interact with them outside of the typical 'Singles Dating & Meeting' scene.

We don't force this philosophy on any of our members and these activities are totally voluntary. Park Place Singles simply provides multiple events and activities for your personal enjoyment - you choose those that fit with your interests and schedule.

We are proud of the alliances we have formed between Singles of Columbus and the vital local charities here. We look forward to those we establish in the future.

"Habitat's Build It Again Center is a retail store that receives donated new and good condition building materials that are sold to the public at greatly reduced prices. All the funds generated by the Build It Again Center helps support Habitat for Humanity-Greater Columbus to pay for administrative costs. Having the income from the store enables us to designate monetary donations directly to the cost of building homes, not to pay for salaries or overhead."

The Mission of Material Assistance Providers, Inc. (M.A.P.) is to serve the community by providing a free furniture bank for families and individuals in need. "MAP provides free furniture and household goods to families moving from difficult situations which without help can be emotionally and financially overwhelming. Our work gives these families a better chance at establishing a permanent home."

Remember to spread the word that MAP is always looking for good used furniture - and they'll pick up!

Kids 'n Kamp is a vital local organization that provides a lifeline of support for Ohio families touched by childhood cancer. Kids 'n Kamp is an independent, non-profit organization which caters to the social, educational, and emotional needs of children with cancer. Supporting this event can help make every difference in the life of a sick child and the families touched by their illness.

"From spending time with underprivileged youth to caring for animals in a shelter to delivering meals to the elderly, there are countless opportunities to make a difference in your community. You'll get more out of volunteering if you make it a regular part of your life. When you volunteer, you will meet people from all walks of life and learn to work cooperatively with people holding views that can be quite different from your own. You'll also learn to relate to people in new ways, which can only help your managing skills and customer relations. The largest benefit I receive from volunteering is a genuine sense of satisfaction from helping others. It also gives me the opportunity to learn new skills and to make new friends."
